The wrath of revenge
Is quietened
The greed of life
Now bankrupt
The sloth of my youth
Has departed
The pride of position
No more
The lust of my loins
Gone forever
The envy which drove me
Done and dusted
And the gluttony of years
Well fed
Nic,
How are you. It’s good to find oneself at the point where these sins are barely visible or completely gone. Sometimes we forget about the little devils, until we are kindly reminded by poems such as yours.
Thanks,
Jerry
