Poem: Alone 1978

Isolated, a dark shadow above me

Alone

Again

With nothing to relate

Clouding, and alert yet jaded

Senses

Clearing

Solid within this wall

Cast-off and self-inflicted

Wounds

Brooding

Peeping out for pleasure

Hapless, at times still helpless

Cares

Wondering

Is it just a form of suicide?
